Zlatan: Defying Age

 

The name says it all. Scoring in 22 consecutive seasons is no mean feat. This man always proves his haters wrong. As much as he is vocal off the pitch, his performance on the pitch is just one step ahead. After leaving PSG, many thought his time at the biggest stage was over. 17 goals and 5 assists in his debut season alongwith the FA Community Shield, League Cup and the Europa League were some of his achievements in his debut season. Phenomenal!!!! 

         His LA Galaxy debut was even a notch higher as he arrived in style scoring a 45 yard half volley sending the crowd to a frenzy and the match finished 4-3 with Zlatan grabbing another one. After a dominating spell in the US, Zlatan decided to come back to the fallen giants from Italy, AC Milan and he hasn’t disappointed with continuous involvement in goals and assists. 

      In the Seria A opener against Bologna, he scored a marvellous header and scored another. His fitness at this age can only be dreamt about by many footballers. What’s intimidating is that he is often the one on which the team can bank on at this age and he is showing no signs of slowing down. 


         One thing is for sure, he is not done as he proudly says and we must be ready to witness what out of the world things he has in store for the fans!

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: 2020-21

It's already been two months since that famous night in Lisbon where Bayern conquered their 2nd treble equalling the record of Barcelona in the process of highest number of trebles.         Now, the group stages has some mouth watering fixtures, the most notable being PSG v/s Man U. After that embarrassing night in Paris where the French outfit lost to a young Man U team even after having a healthy lead in the first leg, PSG have come a long way and were only second to Bayern Munich last time around.
